Hi, I’m Paula

I’m a Registered Nurse experienced in many aspects of social care throughout my 40+ years of experience in care. I have been where you’re at! I have extensive leadership experience as a Registered Manager, Regional Manager, unit lead, and a nurse, in small and large Social Care organisations as well as a CCG quality monitoring officer for NHS Birmingham cross city.

I’ve been actively helping people on social media for a long time, and was seeing the same questions pop up again and again. Some of the answers to questions given by anonymous people within social media were plainly not best practice. I was concerned there was no accessible place to turn to where staff could get reliable and trustworthy advice all of the time.

Often I wished I could be everywhere at once to help people achieve the quality they wanted to achieve, without the stress of them wondering if they were getting correct answers to their questions. Knowing that many workers in the sector are low paid, and many managers are not supported to invest in quality, I thought the best way to make quality achievable everywhere, was to offer a low cost high value way to get information out to everyone who needs it. By promoting a thorough understanding of CQC requirements, I want to ensure the best outcomes for staff and clients.

This is how the Achievable Care Quality Community was born!

The community is for any member of staff working within a CQC regulated setting that wants to understand CQC regulations and learn practical ways to implement them to improve their service.

Furthermore, as part of the Gold and Platinum membership you will be able to network with other members of the community and Platinum members will also be able to book 1:1 with me to have any of their questions answered.
